After the 24-6 beating MoB got from Gravitas in their first group match, EG looked like the likely team to go through to face the favourites from Brazil. MoB did very well, though, defeating EG convincingly, the team that did so well at the Extreme Masters in Los Angeles.
What this means for EG is that they will not be present at the EM III global final in Hannover next year. This is definitely the first surprise in Philadelphia this weekend.
Play-offs continue tomorrow (find the bracket here). The top three teams of the tournament will win berths to the global final.

The second group stage of the American Extreme Masters finals is over. MoB will face favourites MiBR in the double elimination semi final and Gravitas will play x3o.

Made in Brazil and Gravitas Gaming have won their semi final matches at the ongoing American Extreme Masters finals. From there on both teams will head on to meat each other in the winner bracket final.
Judging by the results from group play, Made in Brazil should have no trouble winning the Extreme Masters American championship.
The Canadian Evil Geniuses lineup has dropped out of ESL's Extreme Masters III American finals in Philadelphia and two players from Made in Brazil will probably be playing without their gear.
