Fnatic have won another event after a few weeks of underperforming by winning the ESL Global Challenge in Montreal getting them $25,000 for the first place. They successfully beat their Swedish rival and favorite SK Gaming on two maps as fnatic came from the Lower Bracket, twice on the same map.
The map picks were unfortunate for the spectators as the same map, de_inferno, was being played twice in a row and four times in a row for fnatic. Fnatic won all four pistols in this match and played a great first half on both maps but SK also had a great comeback.
Being down 3-12 after the first half on the first map, they still made it a 13-16 in the end and on the second map they were down 4-11 but were not able to take down fnatic and lost with 11-16. Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg played a great match leading his team to win this title.
The next stop will now be the Global Challenge in Dubai starting during the coming week where fnatic and SK Gaming will most likely be in the same group from the start.
