Dong Hwan 'viOlet' Kim is tipped to be one of the hottest prospects from Korea after displaying fine performance in various individual tournaments as well as the qualifier of upcoming season of NGL Two in the past few months.
Fnatic set the pace for signing the 18-year-old and acquired him from the Chinese team last week. The player played under fnatic tag in both his Group B matches of NiceGameTV WC3 League and last weekend’s ZOTAC Cup.
However, after just four days time, viOlet decided to snub fnatic for an eXpertise return for an undisclosed reason. But the General Manager of fnatic, Elroy "Noname" Pinto in their official announcement revealed that the player kept having conversations with his former team after teaming up with them.
“Sadly he continued discussions with eXpertise even after agreeing to join us and we're sorry to the community for this. It was a mistake on our part. Today he decided to leave us and continue with his old team for reasons I won't go into,”
“We'd like to wish him the best of luck in his career choice and since there's nothing good to say about this situation I'll end the statement here.”
Bolstered with viOlet’s return, the Chinese NGL Two hopeful will have a stronger side when they go into a semi-finals match against the Danish team Copenhagen ProGamers tomorrow.
UPDATE:
Although Copenhagen ProGamers have ruled viOlet out of this match within their rights, they and eXpertise have come to an agreement that the Chinese side will be able to use their another new signing, Jung Min 'Zenio' Choi.
