John 'ZeRo4' Hill has had a difficult tournament in Paris. He was drawn into a difficult group but did well to win it. In the playoffs the luck of the draw was nasty to him because he got the strongest possible group play runner up, Maciek 'av3k' Krzykowski and lost the quarterfinal 2-1.
Due to the fact that the ESWC Masters offers three spots to qualify for the Grand Final, ZeRo4 had to play an additional game with Paul 'czm' Nelson. Alexei 'Cypher' Yanyshevsky and Zhibo 'RazerJ' Fan won their berths by qualifying to the semi finals.
In a game for the spot, ZeRo4 beat czm 2-0, winning narrowly on ZTN and dominating his opponent on no-DM9. This means that he will participate in the Grand Finals in San Jose alongside Shane "rapha" Hendrixson and Karl "fooKi" Johansson.
