SK-Gaming and DotA-League picked up some insiders from the scene to check out what they are thinking about the upcoming FARM 4 FAME event.

First we asked Michal 'tulex' Zima, who is 17 years old and still attending school in Bratislava. He played DotA in a lot of Czech/Slovakian teams before he joined SGC last summer.

We also asked Urluescu 'SirNeo' Mihai from the Romanian clan of I Got Game. He is a student right now, playing DotA the last four years mostly for fun. Now he wants to achieve something bigger with his team mates in competitive DotA.

Did you read the FARM 4 FAME announcement lately and will you try to get a spot via the qualification tournament DotA Masters #9?

tulex: Yes, and even if I didn't read it, I would surely catch that, because some of my friends are playing on DotA-League asking me if we will sign for that tournament, it sure looks big. And so we will definitely try to get a spot in this tournament, hoping that we will have enough free time.

SirNeo: We will fight but I hope we will be invited so we will have less pressure on us, because this will be first 6.52c tournament and we want to innovate, and you can’t innovate if u know that u must win to get a slot.

If you already had a chat about FARM 4 FAME with your team, whats your first impression?

tulex: We talked a bit about it, my first impressions were that this is something new. The whole rewarding system for example is something I have never seen before. And it's of course another option to play against the best teams besides the MYM tournaments.

SirNeo: Yes, we talked about F4F and we are looking forward with joy. From our point of view this is the next level of competition for DotA. Just like the famous inCups were and the zotac cups still are for WarCraft III.

Would you bet a mousepad you won to get better prizes?

SirNeo: Yes we would, but not the first set of mousepads.

tulex: Thats quite a tricky question, because I would like to get a new mousepad, but I will definitely bet for a SteelSeries 3H headset!

What do you think about the following statement:

DotA will grow ever bigger, getting a status like CS achieved through the many leagues and tournaments and the huge community who supported the game – or will DotA disappear in the close future because it’s only a hype like a lot of other games out there are.

SirNeo: I don't know if DotA will disappear so soon but I'm sure that DotA won't be like CS. Here in Romania we have more than 300 CS clans in three leagues, and of course no DotA leagues.

tulex: I think it can't be called a hype now, DotA will be played on ESWC and that's something in gaming world. I think it will grow even bigger, it somehow filled the spot in todays progaming and with new patches it is still getting more and more interesting.
Last but not least the Garena project really helps to improve the game experience, even though it cannot fix all connection issues as we saw in the game of SK.DotA versus XcN.

According to the growing prize galores and the rising number of offline events with DotA to be played, do you think that your team can stand the pressure of playing face-to-face with the opponents under the eyes of spectators and all the circus around the esport?

tulex: I think we proved that a bit on last MYM Pride, but the biggest challenge just awaits us at ESWC Masters in Paris. I hope we wont repeat our mistakes from Miage Lan and we will play at our best shape.

SirNeo: Yes, we were already present at some offline events here in Romania and made positive experience with this. I don't see how we can be intimidated by others.

Do you think that your sponsor or another potential sponsor will ever enable your team to compete at an event like the Games Convention, the Dreamhack or the ASUS cups?

SirNeo: We don't have any sponsor for the moment but I'm searching. We really want to go at LAN events outside Romania like e.g. Viage in France, Lancraft in the Czech Republic and maybe also the ASUS events in Moscow.

tulex: Well, our sponsor Storm Games Club already proved himself by sending us to the Miage Lan in France and now again to the ESWC. So I think yes, if we can keep our results the sponsor will be definitely enable us to compete in the major offline events.

Do you think that bootcamps will soon be seen before the major events like in the other esports? And would you like to meet with your team mates to prepare in a bootcamp playing DotA for at least 8-10 hours a day?

SirNeo: A DotA marathon will be nice: 24h of DotA , or just to play with your friends four to six hours and then to listen a concert for three to four hours and then again DotA for another couple of hours will be nice, why not?

tulex: I think MYM already bootcamped before a Dreamhack once, so I agree with that. As for our team, we play from a e-cafe so we "bootcamped" a lot during last summer holidays. Now it's a bit complicated with Enigma (who comes from Canada) in our team, and I would really like to bootcamp with him because this is the type of training which improves your teamplay the most.
