The development of some details is not yet finished, but since a lot of people ask for more information about the upcoming FARM 4 FAME event, here is a more detailed release of what it's going to be.

The event is spread out over 20 weeks of playtime, with tournaments held every second week. So it's going to be a one week event and then one week break from FARM 4 FAME.

FARM 4 FAME will start right after DotA Masters #9 will be finished, with a short period in between if needed.

As there is a big discussion which map version to use, the event will be played on v6.52c or the next stable map version, if there will be a stable version release before FARM 4 FAME starts. Changes due to leaks or problems with the map itself are excluded.

As there are a lot of other tournaments and leagues going on, it will be allowed to miss up to three FARM 4 FAME tournaments if the administration is informed minimum two days before the tournament to be missed will start.

There will be 32 teams to compete for the 3,000 € cash prizes - 16 will get invited to play FARM 4 FAME some days before the DotA Masters #9 sign-up is closed, 16 additional teams will qualify through the tournament itself.

FARM 4 FAME will be played on DotA-League.com, with a full coverage and special features here on SK-Gaming.com and a great media support by GosuGamers.

The rewarding system:

Placing good in the tournaments results in points for the overall rankings, so at the end of the event the best four teams will be invited to play the finals. If two or more teams got the same amount of points collected during the tournaments there will be an additional play off to find best of the point-equal teams.

Besides the points to win, there is also the upgradeable prize system. Reaching the finals results in gaining prizes from our sponsor SteelSeries.
The basic prize will always be a pack of five SteelSeries mousepads.

This is where the new upgrade system starts to work. If you reach the final of a tournament, and you are sure that you will reach it again in the next tournament, you can place your mousepads as a bet on your victory.

If you succeed you get prizes from a higher category instead of the mousepads, if you don't place first or second you will get nothing.

If you won the tournament you placed your bet on, and you are still sure that you will make it the next time as well, you can reach an even higher prize category - repeating this system up to four times results in the following category of prizes to win:

1. Mousepads
2. 3H Headsets
3. Ikari Opticals
4. Siberia Neckbands
5. 7G Keyboards

The four teams who make it into the finals will fight for a 3,000€ prize galore, which will be split into 1,500€ for the winner, 1,000€ for the second placed and 500€ for the third placed team.

More information to be released soon
